These short extension cords are great for when you only need a couple of feet to reach the outlet. Having a rolled up 6 foot or 10 foot cord is unsightly, and this option is really nice to have. Also, the price is so low that it is really a no brainer.

Lovely mini-mini power extension. I got two and I was able to reach the connection. Very handy... I was thinking to get couple more for those extension outlets with 6 that you can put so many because of the size of the plug (transformers?) so I can use more outlets at once. I might get a 2ft one and use the 1ft ones for this particular use.

Monoprice usually offers decent product at a bargain price and this is no exception. The 16 gauge wire is big enough for pretty much anything you will plug in this since common house wiring is just a tad bigger than this at 14 gauge(smaller number=bigger gauge). The shielding is flexible but not super thick so it might not be the best for very heavy duty tasks. Still, for the price it is a very nice extension cord. I personally use it to extend the very short cord of a surge protector I have and it works flawlessly for that purpose.
