Now I know that it is commonplace to remind ourselves these days how much better off we really are, in a material sense. But I can't help thinking that humour was genuinely funnier back then, and with more bite too. Review: excellent - excellent

A brilliant dvd incorporating both series of Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister. Arrived promptly and in good condition. My Husband is really looking forward to seeing these iconic programmes.

Conservative Propoganda (I'm not joking) but excellent writing and acting
Just such a good time. Excellent writing and acting with some legendary quotes and scenes. Very much a project of its time and its writers. It is doubtless part of the neoliberal brainwashing that took place in the 80s, but, if you keep that in mind, you can still watch it and have a lot of fun. It is however, missing some short specials and little ads and such which is shame. Would have been a nice bonus. There are no extras of any kind.

The battle between ministers and officials
Slightly dated, but the humour and the tussles are still great viewing. Being hard of hearing, I selected Subtitles. Yes, they are there, but I found the text hard to read. Not obvious and it got partly blended in with the picture.

Posso solo dire che è stato acquistato per aiutare una persona a perfezionare il suo inglese, visto che gli attori provengono dal teatro ed hanno un'ottima dizione. Solito ottimo imballo Amazon sufficientemente protettivo. La scatola del cofanetto era in ottime condizioni e il nylon perfettamente applicato. Politics were never more funny!!
I simply LOVE this show. It is about politics and ruling a country. These shows, ‘Prime Minister’ and‘Minister’ series, are made so truly perfectly that no matter what your political views are, you will relate to it on personal level. Whether you are democrat, republican, left or right winger, you will believe those shows were made to make fun of the opposition. And both series are absolutely hilarious.
