Most comfortable mattress ever!
We have been using our Layla mattresses for seven months now. We bought a pair of Twin XL mattresses to make a split king. One of the big reasons I chose the Layla was because of the flippable soft/firm feature. I like a soft bed, my wife (thought) likes firm. Until she tried the Layla. She has been sleeping on the soft side, and has had none of the back issues she thought she would have with a soft bed. I'm heavier, and have had hip issues, one has been replaced, the other will probably need it soon. Our previous (Natl. brand, TV advertised) mattress was medium soft, but the inner layer was hard as a rock, and caused me a lot of pain when I slept on the wrong side, because my hip bone would bottom out on the support layer. No problem with the Layla. Coolness/heat seems to be about the same as our last bed. The cover of the mattress is very high quality, and felt so nice, it seemed a shame to cover it up. Extra points to Layla for not using some abrasive shiny fabric. Very happy with everything so far.

A fantastic choice for most people
Our daughter has juvenile arthritis and fibromyalgia so good sleep is difficult for her to get. We'd bought her an expensive foam mattress and adjustable base in high school which she loved so much that we shipped it off to college. When she returns home for the summer, though, she's in pain days after arriving. This year, we decided to get her a foam mattress at the house but really didn't want to pay the thousands of dollars we did for her "permanent" bed. I did some research and figured this Layla mattress was worth a shot... and it paid off! My daughter noticed the difference the first night and while she says she'd still pick the expensive one over this one, she absolutely recommends this mattress. She says it's a bit softer than her one at college, but she never feels warm because of it (good to note in the Phoenix summer). She did say the smell was a bit strong for the first couple of nights but she wasn't willing to give it up to let it air out for a week or so. By the end of the first week, she said she has to press her head into the mattress to still smell it (and thankfully that doesn't seem to be something she does on a regular basis). If you suffer from physical ailments and are looking for your full-time, permanent bed, maybe consider spending a bit more. But if you're just looking for a comfy foam mattress that won't set you back thousands of dollars, then this might be the one! (But maybe let it air out a few days before you get attached.)

Comfortable for back problems
Iโve had two back surgeries so mattresses are important. Iโm using the soft side and it is firm enough to avoid sinking but soft enough to not cause pain to my hip and shoulders. I have noticed that the cover turns some during use. Will have to see if thatโs a problem after several months of use but for now Iโm turning them regularly to offset the slippage. Overall great mattress.

Comfortable, but still smells
Bought in July - aired in spare room with air circulating and without any covering, for 3 weeks before putting on bed. It's now mid September, and it still smells. Would not recommend for anyone sensitive to chemical smells. That said, it is very comfortable.

A very comfortable well made mattress
I purchased this mattress for my Mom who has back issues. We used it on LUCID L300 Adjustable Bed Base-5 Minute Assembly-Dual USB Charging Stations Head and Foot Incline-Wireless Remote Control-Upholstered-Ergonomic, Twin XL, Charcoal . I love how it has two sides, one soft and the other firmer. Although, they both seemed soft to me when I briefly laid on it. It did not take long to puff up, pretty much immediately after it was released from the vacuum packaging. It did not have a strong smell like most foam mattresses have. The mattress cover is very well made. It is a Twin XL so pay attention when you buy your sheets and mattress pads. Most importantly, Mom thinks the mattress is very comfortable to sleep on. *Note - if you are wanting a very firm foam mattress, this is probably not the one for you.

Good At First1 now horrible
We liked the mattress for the first six months. With a split king we thought the ability to have one softer and one firmer side would suit our needs. Now we donโt wake up without pain unless we have slept at a hotel.

Like the softness and the design of mattress
I am 5 ft 10 and weight 130 lb and the soft side fits me really well. I used to sleep on a spring mattress and have decided to upgrade to something made out of memory foam. Having two different firmness level is really helpful to compare what softness level works the best for me. The design of the mattress is also great, but that's a personal preference thing. It does come with a matching pillow, which I really appreciate. With regard to their "copper infused foam", not sure how much it actually helps you cool down. You are sleeping on foams after all. But at least copper is antibacterial, which I find to be a good feature for something you will sleep on for a while.

Glad we went with Layla
We tend to over research. We shopped high end local stores, were quoted $7,500 for a comparable system. We also considered Purple with Power Base and Bear Mattress. We decided to go with Layla because of the smooth sleeping surface, two firmnesses, and price. We were also concerned about Bear need special sheets and mattress pads for their materials to work as advertised. We bought two twin XL Layla's and two adjustable bases (iDealBed 4i Custom Adjustable Bed Base, Wireless, Massage, Nightlight, Zero-Gravity, Anti-Snore, Memory Pre-Sets, TwinXL, powered by Leggett & Platt). We are very pleased with this combo. Layla was easy to unbox. It's very comfortable in all positions (we are rotisserie chicken sleepers). I also suffer from lower back pain due to an accident and the zero gravity position eliminates that pain.
