This is a natural product, so therefore it can have subtle differences from batch to batch. To use, place the pitch in a suitable pitch and heat in an 250°F to 300°F oven. The melting temperature is low enough that you can safely manipulate and shape the pitch by hand after heating. Red pitch does not have to be burned off.
